Mizzou Plaid, developed in 2006 by students in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management, was inspired by the symbols and images of the University of Missouri. Elements from the tiger, the columns, and the MU seal were incorporated into the design to reflect the strong tradition and heritage of MU.
In honor of the 175th anniversary of the University of Missouri, art professor Deborah Huelsbergen designed a signature Mizzou paisley. The paisley was inspired by the University of Missouri’s rich history and the beauty of its campus. Iconic symbols such as the Jesse Hall dome, Memorial Union tower, the Columns and an historical M logo that dates back to the 1920s are included in this distinctive design.
Mizzou Paisley is carried exclusively at The Mizzou Store.
