The Tiger Letter: Spring 2005
In the 2005-06 academic year, the Big XII Conference will celebrate its 10th anniversary of competition. The Conference office has organized a committee consisting of one representative from each member school to work on the celebration.
The committee members represent athletics, alumni, academic and licensing. These members will work with the Conference office, corporate partners, network partners and Big XII licensees to organize and implement programs and promotions which will highlight great players and milestones that occurred during the first ten years of competition.
All Big XII licensees should be receiving information on these programs in the near future. If you have any questions regarding this special event, please contact the Collegiate Licensing Company.

Game days during football season are the busiest days for selling Mizzou products at Frameworks Gifts.
|
Looking for a unique gift? Frameworks Gifts not only carries gourmet foods, kitchen accessories, dinnerware, collectibles, pewter pieces and books, it also has over 20 Mizzou-licensed products.
You can find officially licensed clocks, lamps, quilts, picture frames and Mizzou cross-stitch patterns, but the most popular Mizzou items are pillows and cutting boards. In addition to these products, Frameworks also has several black and gold items to fit with your decor along with local artwork featuring Mizzou landmarks, and they custom-frame diplomas and other Mizzou certificates for that special person.
Gary and Sharon Duncan have owned Frameworks for three and a half years, but Frameworks has been in business since 1979. Two and a half years ago, Frameworks started featuring Mizzou products and this year, they displayed a Mizzou Christmas tree. "The tree was black and gold and had several Mizzou ornaments on it. It was very popular with customers," said Duncan.
Frameworks is located at 901 Old Highway 63 North and is open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12:00
p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday. For more information on the store, visit www.frameworksgifts.com.
Hi! My name is Blaire Leible, and I will be interning in the MU Licensing and Trademark office for the next year. My main duty will be to design and write stories for the Tiger Letter.
I attended Westminster College where I majored in communication. Now, as a graduate student at MU, I am studying advertising and
public relations in journalism school.
I am really looking forward to learning more about licensing and meeting with the Mizzou-RAH retailers!
How ‘bout those Tigers?

Fashion Forecast: Mixing Trendy with Traditional
New Orleans was the place to be from February 27 - March 3 as it hosted the 2005 CAMEX (Campus Market Expo).
"The CAMEX show was a great venue to find new and exciting products for collegiate retailers," said Tiffany N. Anderson, apparel buyer for the University Bookstore.
It is important to find the right combination of trendy and traditional when it comes to collegiate apparel. "We try to develop a mix of the traditional clothing our fans expect and the most popular fashion trends they see at the local mall," said Laura Williamson, general manager of the Tiger Team Stores.
Fall 2005 promises to be full of exciting fashion. "I believe the fall season in college retail will bring still more emphasis on everything 'retro' in apparel from clean, athletic looking graphics and 70’s funky, to the emergence of 80’s inspired preppy," said Williamson.
The fashion forecast also includes lots of color and fabrics. "Orange, robin egg blue, green, and yellow will be hot and exciting new
hues. These colors will complement fabrics such as corduroy, velvet, metallic brocade, and lots of fur," said Anderson.
Whatever Fall 2005 brings, you can bet it will be anything but boring!
